Revision

It has been a couple of days since I last wrote here. I have been keeping busy, I have been revising a lot for my upcoming exams. It has been going OK, swings and roundabouts. 5 exams in 4 days starting tuesday, should be exciting.

Elsewhere, I went climbing twice this week, my arms feel like they have cement blocks tied to them. But it was good fun.

Below are some pictures of the walk I mentioned in my previous post.

This one is not very clear, but there are 6 balances across the bottom.

Hungover Sunday

Last night, the bald Matt had his leaving/birthday bash. He is going to Ibiza next weekend for the summer. So he had a leaving celebration, and early birthday thing. I didn't need to go really, as I will be in Ibiza with him come June. However, I did my duty and turned up. I ended up quite drunk. But it was good fun.

Today has been hungover, watched two films (Bridge to Terebithia and Good Luck Chuck). Both enjoyable films, one is a comedy, one is a bit emotional. I will let you work out which one was which. I also did some revision, and then went for a walk on a beach and did some pebble balancing.

After we were finished on the beach, we walked back to the car, to discover that the car park was being locked up. This, we felt, was bad news for us. Luckily, we were not the only ones locked in, and someone else had a good idea of digging up the wooden bollards on the grassy fence to the car park to allow escape. We did put them back afterwards, Let no-one think we are mindless vandals. Locking the car park when there is still an hour of daylight left is crazy.

Pictures of balancing to follow.

Self-Stalking

Well, it turns out, that through a random assortment of clicks and link followings that I managed to follow my own blog. I am not sure if it will have any benefits to me, I very much doubt it will. I imagine it will be similar to having myself added as a friend on windows live messenger...nothing happened then either...just incase you were wondering.

I really should be revising, this is just a time-wasting post. Did you know that New Jersey has its coastline doubled, due to coastal management techniques such as groynes and sea walls. Also, the US government spend A huge sum of money to keep the urban area protected from the ocean processes.

Just a little something I revised....check me out.

Friday Feeling

Fridays are bad days for me. They never used to be, but since I have been with the lovely Sabina. Fridays seem to have taken a turn for the worst. It all began (we believe) because of Sabinas 'not eating meat on a friday' thing that she does. Every now and then, she eats meat, and something bad happens. Then she didn't eat meat, but I did...and bad things still happened.

Like the time I was stopped at traffic lights (red) then ... without the lights changing...just started driving.
today has been a bit of a miserable day, rain mixed with revision = crap.

Still, 3 weeks time and I will be in Ibiza with Sabina again, and I am sure things will be better then. Almost 2 years out of 3 completed for University. Hoooorah!

I have been for a number of walks this week. Here are a couple of pictures of the last couple of days walking.

Regrets + Politics

So, those of you who are still unaware, the UK has got a new Prime Minister. Mr David Cameron of the Conservative party has taken occupancy of Number 10 and will start to slowly degrade the quality of life for all in the country. He and his party made a deal with the Lib Dem's to work together for the good of the country.

hmmmm.

Different note, I was sat on a bus today, on the way back from a materials recycling firm (Incinerator plant), and I heard someone mention 'regrets'. It got me thinking, what, if anything do people regret in their lives? Is it better to have tried something and gained experience, should failed attempts be regretted, or appreciated?

I came to the conclusion that I myself, do not regret anything that I can remember. Obviously, there are situations where I have wondered what might have happened had I made a different choice. Primarily was my dropping out of Portsmouth University a few years ago, in my second year. At the time, I was miserable and smoking too much and generally not doing as well as I am capable. I have often wondered where I would be now, had I stuck at it and carried on with the course. It was a similar course to the one I am currently attending, so still in a similar direction.

However, I do not regret my decision to leave portsmouth. I gained experiences from my time there, and met some amazing people, however, I believe (I suppose believe is the word) that the choice I made then, and the choices I have made since, have led me to where I am now. Which though I still have the ups and downs, I am very happy.

I am not saying I believe in 'fate'. I believe it was due to my choices, and the people in my life that have made me what I am, and put me where I am. And as such, it would be wrong of me to regret any of the choices or mistakes I have made.

I am not sure if it makes sense. I suppose there should always be an aspect of regret in ones life, missed opportunities and experiences. However, can you really regret something you never did? After all, we are all just dust in the wind....or something.....right?

Anyway, here is a picture...

It hasn't shown up in my draft, I hope it shows in the real post. This is a picture (if it worked) of some pebble balancing. My friend Andrew constructed the pile, I just took a picture.

Walks and Dives

Today has been a pleasant day indeed. I woke up with the sun shining and the temperature warm. A lovely day to be outside (and not revising....never mind).
It had been prearranged that I would join Pippa, Adam, Sebastian, Willit and Indy for a dog walk today (Willit and Indy both being dogs). Indy had never met Willit or George before, so we were unsure how it would go. But fairly confident it would be fine.

George is the lovely golden retriever on the left, whilst Willit is the bear-like beast at the back on the right. Indy, the newcomer to the gang...is the one being chased. They will all become super friends I am sure. Indy was gorgeous. She is (like Willit) a cross between a Husky and Mallamoot. Though she has the build of a husky, unlike the bear.

I also went diving today (as mentioned about yesterday). The waters were a lovely greeny blue, with a lovely 10degrees C temperature. We did 2 dives, both shallow, as the OW course was still being run. But we saw a lovely starfish, a number of large edible crabs (no, I didn't eat them), 2 baby dogfish and a number of anemones.

It was very pleasant, I am now tired and feeling guilty due to lack of work being done for exams. I am sure everything will turn out OK...it will....won't it?
